ブランド名の bittercress は、水辺や草地に静かに根を張る「タネツケバナ」に由来しています。小さく目立たない存在でありながら、爽やかな苦味と生命力を持つ植物です。私たちは、クラフトビールもまた、特別な人だけのものではなく、日常の中にさりげなく存在できるものだと考えています。

The name bittercress comes from tanetsukebana, a small wild plant found along watersides and in meadows. Though small and unassuming, it has a refreshing bitterness and remarkable vitality. We believe craft beer, too, should not be something reserved for a select few, but something that can naturally be part of everyday life.

Craft beer offers a wide variety of distinctive flavours and the unique character of independent breweries. At the same time, with so many styles available, choosing a beer can sometimes feel complicated or require specialist knowledge. At bittercress, we want to make choosing craft beer more intuitive — not by style names or specialist knowledge, but through two simple questions: “What kind of moment?” and “What kind of flavour?”
